In what became the pattern for United’s friend…

In what became the pattern for United’s friendlies this preseason, the match ended with a loss for the Red Devils. The team looked oddly disconnected at times and played most of the match in their own half attempting to keep Bayern from scoring.

Out of the two goalkeepers, Dave was the busiest of the two making several crucial saves that kept the score at just 1-0. Meanwhile on the other half, Neuer barely had any work to do and shockingly spent most of his time inside the 18 yard box although if there was ever a match for him to display his sweeper keeper tendencies it was today as United had no attacking power.

Eric Bailly came off in the first half as a precaution after he needed to receive treatment on the field. Towards the end of the match, United’s youngsters had a final chance to impress Mourinho in a hope that they will be awarded first team playing minutes once the season starts.

United’s next match will be the first of the 2018/2018 Premier League season. They will play on Friday 10 August against Leicester City at Old Trafford.
