Young charged with violent conduct
Ashley Young has been charged with violent conduct following an off the ball incident during United’s draw with Southampton on 30 December.
The FA released this statement today on 31 December, “Ashley Young will be suspended for Manchester United’s next three matches. He accepted a violent conduct charge following an off-the-ball incident during yesterday’s game against Southampton, but argued the suspension was excessive. This was rejected by a Regulatory Commission.”
This ban means he will miss the New Year’s match against Everton, the FA Cup tie against Derby County on 5 January, and the Premier League match on 15 January against Stoke City.
