Manchester United come away with their biggest win of this campaign after beating Fulham 4-1 at home. Fulham’s solitary goal came from a penalty that should have never been given as replays show that Ander clearly won the ball.
Not even a full minute after scoring, Fulham were sent down to 10 men after Anguissa received a second yellow card. Upon replay, it was clear that Rashford was the one at fault for the foul and the yellow card should have gone to him. Anguissa and Fulham will be unable to contest the card and ban as it was a double yellow and not a straight red.
This was the first time that United have scored three first half goals at home in over three years.
Other notable stat from this match is that Juan Mata scored his 50th Premier League goal on his 150th appearance for United and then went on to provide his 50th assist in the Premier League.
Next up United play Valencia in the Champions League before playing Liverpool in the league.
Could have been five thanks to birthday boy McTominay but his header doesn’t have enough power behind it and Rico easily collects
His first at Old Trafford this season!
It is absolutely ambitious from Rashford who hits the ball with such power that the keeper has no chance.
It proved to be his last kick of the game as he makes way for McTominay
Fred comes on for Lingard
Anguissa receives a second yellow card and is sent off seconds after getting one back.
He tries to protest and upon replay, Im not entirely sure what he did to even warrant the second yellow.
Rojo comes on for Smalling who makes his way straight down the tunnel for treatment
United have had to do more defending in the first 10 minutes of the second half than they did the whole first 45 minutes.
Rojo seems to be getting ready to come on due to a possible injury problem with Smalling
We are back underway at OT
A very different first half for United than what we have come to expect. Ashley Young scored his first goal in over a year, Juan Mata scored his 50th goal while making his 150th appearance and then went on to provide his 50th assist so that Lukaku could end his OT goal drought.
He ends his Old Trafford goal drought!
Lukaku taps it in from a Juan Mata pass to make it 3-0 and he ends his OT goal drought. This is his first goal at home since March
