FELLAINI GETS ONE BACK IN STOPPAGE TIME!
After weeks of speculation about what his decision would it, it appears that Fellaini will remain at United for a few more years. The Belgium international has signed a contract that extends until 2020 with an option for additional year.
Fellaini said, “I am pleased to be continuing my journey as a Manchester United player. I made this decision because I am very happy here. Also, I feel like this team, under Jose, still has a lot we want to achieve. I would like to say a special thank you to Jose for the faith he has always shown in me. My focus now is on the World Cup and I am looking forward to a successful season ahead”
Mourinho said he is “delighted that he signed a new contract.”
Meanwhile, the reaction from fans is very mixed with more often than not it leaning towards the negative.
Each team that qualified for this year’s world cup had to submit a list of 35 players to FIFA by 14 May 2018. In the following weeks, the teams had to narrow the list down to 23 players to be submitted by 4 June 2018.
